This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced allied health professional to step into the Clinical Lead - Speech Pathology role and be responsible for developing and maintaining clinical integrity and fidelity for Speech Pathology programs across all Autism SA services.

Your new role

Reporting to the Executive Manager, Clinical, Care & Community Excellence and working collaboratively across business, you will be responsible for independently applying high level clinical and professional knowledge to support the Speech Pathology employees, volunteers and placement students in applying a consistent high quality service across multiple sites and services by maintaining specialist knowledge of current evidence informed practices in Speech Pathology and applying best practice within policy, procedure and staff training and development. You will also support and consult with all areas of service delivery that require specialist Speech Pathology knowledge to improve and achieve best outcomes for clients.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor of Speech Pathology or Master of Speech Pathology
  • Current Membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
  • Advanced training in the area of mealtime management and delivery of assessments and provision of oral eating and drinking care plans and mealtime support plans is desirable
  • Substantial experience in working directly with people on the autism spectrum
  • Substantial experience in consultancy in the field of disabilities, and working collaboratively with families and service providers
  • Substantial experience as a Speech Pathologist working within the disability sector
  • Proven experience in providing clinical support to relevant others
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation module "Quality, Safety and You". If not already completed you can access the module to complete: see here
  • Satisfactory DHS Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening and National Police Check
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination (including booster)
