BCD Community Care Inc (otherwise known as Better Care Delivered or BCD), is a dedicated and proud, local service provider with a range of services supporting people to live their life in their homes and within the community as independently as possible.

BCD is registered to deliver NDIS and Aged Care services with over 400 customers across Southwestern Sydney and the Southern Highlands. They support customers with their individual well-being goals through person-centred supports, from our 100+ strong care workforce.

BCD are not-for-profit and have operated since 2006, growing sustainability throughout their 17 years.

About the role

Better Care Delivered (BCD) continues to implement its strategic plan for growth of our quality disability and aged care services. The BCD Board seeks non-executive directors who can demonstrate specific skills and experience in one or more of the following criteria:

• Lived experience of Disability or Aged Care services
• Clinical Care – such as Registered Nurse or Practitioner
• Allied Health qualifications and min 5 years practical experience
• Human Resources qualifications and min 5 years executive level experience
• A Chartered Accountant
• A Lawyer with experience in NFPs/Community or similar
• Previous Board experience and completion of the Australian Institute of Company Directors course is highly regarded.

BCD would like to appoint two (2) additional non-executive directors with demonstrated ability to participate in the growth and strategic direction of a for purpose organisation.

This role is as a volunteer, and you would be supported by an enthusiastic collegiate, who meet bi-monthly via video for Board meetings, and face to face twice annually for strategic days.
