We’re looking for hands on WAREHOUSE ASSISTANTS with relevant experience to join our new team on a permanent part time basis, working 20 - 32 hours per week in Geelong.

Be part of an important environmental initiative. Join our warehouse team, collecting and sorting drink containers for recycling. Engage with customers, learn how to operate our specialist machinery, and contribute to a hands on, positive, safe workplace.

THE ROLE

The Container Collection Warehouse Assistants support the operations of an automated container collection site in a professional and efficient manner, and ensure a high quality, safe and efficient service for customers.

  • Support site operations including collections, sorting, cleaning and managing machinery
  • Provide excellent service to all customers and donors
  • Support a high-level safety culture ensuring all tasks and activities are undertaken as per procedures and training
  • Assist in the sourcing of containers to ensure supply meets or exceeds targets, including collections in the community

Salary will be $24.87 per hour, plus penalties for any weekend shifts & superannuation.

To be considered for the role and be successful in it, we’re looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:

  • Demonstrated experience in logistics, recycling, customer service, retail or similar
  • Experience working with machinery or ability to learn quickly
  • Passion for working with people
  • Great communication skills, to work with volunteers, staff and customers from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to company policies and processes
