We’re looking for a professional Facilities Services Officer with relevant experience who wants to join our 2,000+ team of staff and volunteers to make a difference on a permanent full-time basis, working 38 hours per week based in Fitzroy.

THE ROLE

The Facilities Services Officer is responsible for coordinating the repair, reinstatement and maintenance of facilities services (due to breakdown, fair wear and tear, and end of lifecycle), as well as supply and delivery of soft services to all BSL sites. The Facilities Services Officer ensures that activities are actioned from commencement to completion in a timely manner to ensure all facilities and their services are available for continued operations, and that disruption to business is avoided. 

  • Ensure Facilities System Database (‘Upkeep’) records are actioned and work flowed from commencement to completion within acceptable time frame 
  • Triage all reactive repairs and soft services requirements based on impact risk assessment
  • Interpret obligations of liability for defects, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with departmental registers and incumbent Goods & Supplier records and contracts
  • Obtain pricing and approval to undertake works
  • Assign compliant contractors and issue work-orders to undertake facility services activities 

Salary will be $64,624.42 - $69,287.36 per annum, based on skills and experience plus superannuation.

  • Able to prioritise tasks and deliver outcomes within due and acceptable time-frames
