Are You Our New Hire?

We are one of Australia's leading Architecture & Design practices with a strong focus on sustainability. We're based in Sydney and Brisbane, with satellite studios in London and New York.

We’re looking for a Content and Communications Producer who’s a born storyteller, lives on socials, and understands how the whole comms mix can work together to pack a punch and have a lasting impact. This person will write architecture and design stories for our website that bring BVN’s themes to life; and then distribute them via socials, eNewsletters and industry platforms. You’ll track engagement and use this to refine storytelling, and help BVN comms overall, tap into the narratives relevant to contemporary architecture.

We’re looking to provoke important questions, shape conversations, and engage with our clients, stakeholders and the wider, interested public.

About You

We need a digital specialist that can create content and manage distribution via our digital channels (socials, website, EDMs). In this role you’ll work closely with the PR & Engagement Director to plan and deliver high-impact content. We need someone who is both creative (a storyteller) and analytic (a digital strategist).

As in-house journalist you will be responsible for writing online stories and content, which will sit on our new website (launching April 2022). These will be a mix of short and punchy news pieces, longer form storytelling, observational and OpEd style articles.

As platform manager you will be responsible for driving website performance as well day-to-day management, maintenance and optimisation. You’ll be the go-to person for uploads, content changes and analytics.

As social media strategist, you will seed and drive engaging conversations online, analyse engagement metrics, and handle campaigns. You’ll be expected to have deep insight into this space and able to bring strategic, creative ideas to the table.

What you’ll do

  • Work as part of the Brand & Communications team, reporting to the PR & Engagement Director
  • Write, upload and optimise content in different formats (in-house articles, photo galleries, videos, media coverage and Q&As)
  • Work with Brand & Comms team on video storytelling ideas and collaborate with design agency on approach and coordination
  • Establish and manage eNewsletters via Hubspot including content, distribution, database and performance
  • Be the primary website and social media administrator
  • Assist the PR Director with editorial and event tasks as required.
  • Ensure all content brings the BVN brand to life

Who are you?

  • A born writer, you have a hunger for all things comms, social and storytelling
  • You’re an avid reader and consumer of digital content. You’re ahead of the curve with trends and the ways audiences consume content digitally
  • You’ll have 8+ years’ experience in producing engaging and creative written content on small budgets
  • Experience working with tone of voice / style guides
  • Excellent writing, editing and interviewing skills
  • Ability to produce clear, concise copy - fast
  • Proven track record in SEO and keyword research – you know its value, and how to optimise content for different channels
  • Proven expertise managing LinkedIn and Instagram platforms
  • Proven expertise in running successful, customer-centric eNewsletters (incl CRM configurations, features, customisations, data management)
  • A keen interest in what's happening in the world to develop storytelling in new and innovative ways to reach and engage wider audiences
  • Good under pressure in a fast-paced environment, ability to multitask and think independently
  • A team player who thrives on working with others and manage multiple internal stakeholders
  • Strong eye for detail, able to act as editor/proof reader for other comms
  • Experience with an Australian creative, design or architectural organisation
  • Friendly, collaborative and positive attitude
