About the role 

Reporting to the Community Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will provide clinical palliative care nursing to people who have complex care needs as a result of experiencing a life limiting illness, with little or no prospect of cure, and for whom the primary treatment goal is quality of life.

This care will be provided within a multidisciplinary team context, and in community settings. Clinical leadership, education and support will be provided to palliative care colleagues, and generalist staff who work with a palliative approach. You will need to demonstrate Palliative care experience in a range of settings which indicates an ability to perform the major activities listed in this position description. The Community Palliative Care program operates Monday to Sunday with nursing staff working a rotating roster of 8 hour shifts which include weekends.
