About Beaumont People

Beaumont People is a boutique recruitment agency headquartered in Sydney that places people first. Our commitment to our staff, clients and candidates sets us apart. One of our key strategies is to reward staff and ensure their continued career development. We specialise in the areas of charitable organisations, education, business services, call centre, associations and memberships, health and social care and executive search.

This role sits within our Charities team, which was set up in 2009 as a way to demonstrate the commitment of Beaumont People to corporate social responsibility. The division was set up as a social venture with one consultant offering charitable organisations Beaumont People’s full service recruitment model at a fee that is just enough to cover our costs. The response was overwhelming and we have steadily grown from a team of 1 to 10 people. We are proud to have saved charitable organisations over $14 million in recruitment fees to date.

About the role

Recruiting primarily permanent fundraising roles for charities you will be servicing existing clients as well as developing new business. You will be working very much as part of a team, we have 3 other consultants who support charities with a focus on recruiting permanent fundraising roles, plus 5 senior consultants specialising in other charity roles.

This is definitely still a recruitment job and requires you to develop relationships and manage the end to end recruitment process.  However....this is a very different offering to anything in the market in Australia. This is not a hard-nosed sales role and in fact we encourage our clients to do their own recruitment where possible (if that's the most cost effective thing for them to do).  However, we need to actively get the message out to charity organisations not currently using us so that they know we are here when they need help finding specialist staff in order to run a successful charity.

You will have a competitive base salary and an opportunity to earn uncapped commission.  In accordance with this, you will set your own activity level and be expected to manage your own priorities.

Daily Responsibilities Include

  • Business development to new and existing charity clients to build the desk
  • Manage the end to end recruitment process, servicing clients permanent fundraising recruitment needs
  • Building and nurturing our valuable candidate talent pool

This is the perfect role for you if:

  • You are a high performing recruitment consultant
  • You have substantial business development experience
  • You want more connection with the work you are doing and would like to give back to the community through your professional work
  • You are passionate about delivering outstanding service to both clients and candidates
  • You have a warm engaging personality and enjoy interacting with people at every level
  • You are a fast, methodical worker with a focus on positive long term outcomes
  • You have impeccable communication skills and enjoy both verbal and written interaction with people
  • You enjoy working in a fun, supportive team environment
  • You consider yourself to be a self-starter and prefer working in a mature environment that does not micro manage
  • Experience in the Charity sector is highly desirable

Culture

We take our culture seriously at Beaumont People and believe it’s critical to our success. We ensure our team thrive, not just survive and do this through a generous benefits programme, a high performance but mature culture, significant value adds for our clients and candidates as well as ourselves, and ensuring we have a lot of fun along the way!

Key benefits include

  • Uncapped generous commission structure
  • Further additional incentives (for example annual trip to Hamilton Island)
  • Significant ongoing training and development
  • Comprehensive client and candidate database
  • Free breakfast and fruit, regular team lunches and outings
  • Stunning modern offices overlooking the harbour
  • Health and well-being programme
  • Ability to personally contribute to charity during work time
  • Additional annual leave available based on tenure
