Beaumont People is partnering with Parkinson's NSW. Parkinson’s NSW is a not-for-profit organisation striving to make life better for people living with Parkinson’s, their families, and carers. Providing essential services such as counselling, Support Groups, InfoLine, Neurological Nurses, and education while raising awareness and advocating to improve the lives of people affected by Parkinson’s.

Parkinson’s NSW is undertaking an exciting transformation that seeks to change the way people with Parkinson’s, carers, and families engage with service providers. With the advent of the NDIS, Parkinson’s NSW has developed an approach that best aligns with connecting carers and the people they care for, with affordable and accessible services.

About the Role:

  • Work with consumers accessing NDIS support services; primarily those who are aging and living with Parkinson's
  • Assist individuals, their families, and carers to navigate the health and social care systems, including NDIS
  • Support individuals in setting & achieving goals and outcomes that align with their needs and desires
  • Help to build the capacity of customers & their families to become more independent in managing their own care
  • Ensure customers' immediate and anticipated needs are met using a team approach

A bit about you:

To have success in the role you be highly organised with excellent time management and resilience. You will also have;

  • Previous professional experience as a Support Coordinator or similar is required
  • Strong understanding of NDIS
  • Ability to be a catalyst - facilitating change relating to a person's care
  • Eagerness to collaborate and join a strong group dynamic
  • Experience working in community-centred care systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills + highly developed communication skills
  • Practical and problem-solving skills
  • Great tech skills and ability to navigate the software
  • Willingness to obtain NDIS Workers screening check & Working with Children Check
  • Vaccination against COVID-19 + Drivers License is required
