About the role
Variety is looking to grow its base of support programs to ensure they are continuing to meet unmet needs within the communities they support.
Covering the Maternity Leave period of the current coordinator, Variety is looking for someone who will bring creativity to the role and put their all into the position during their time with the organisation.
You will be responsible for supporting the grants team in administration of all grant applications, manage the contact details for families through Variety’s database as well as coordinating and delivering new programs to assist families.
Responsibilities in this role will include:
- Assist with Grant Applications from families and schools
- Manage the Variety database (ThankQ) to ensure successful day-to-day implementation along with ongoing tracking, monitoring and reporting
- Coordinate new programs for children with disabilities and their families
- Manage and coordinate families involvement in various variety events and opportunities
- Assist the Grants Manager in administration of the grants program
- Stay up-to-date of relevant issues in the disability & family services sector and report back to the CEO and Grants Committee on these issues
To be successful in this role it is essential that you have:
- Previous experience coordinating and delivering programs
- A genuine interest in working with children and the families of children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs
- Full availability to work until July 2016
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- The ability to work well as part of the team and to juggle multiple priorities
