The Role

We are currently seeking Registered Nurses to join our team South Metro Facilities.

Brightwater are seeking to fill vacant AM, PM & Night shifts between Monday to Friday, our AM shift typically being 7am to 3.15pm and our PM shift typically between 3pm and 10.15pm with Nights typically between 10pm to 7.15am.

Please note, we are still exploring applications from those seeking casual employment.   Our preference is for those that can commit to a minimum of two days per week (excluding weekends) 

This position forms part of a multidisciplinary team and is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical care for, and with, clients of Brightwater Care Group. This position delivers inclusive and person-centred quality care and support in accordance with individualised client Care Plans to ensure optimal service provision that actively promotes choice, independence, and quality of life, in a safe and home like environment.

Our South-metro Residential Aged Care facilities include:

  • The Oaks: A 61-bed facility based in Waikiki.  Where we cater for clients with a mix of high care needs and memory support units. We currently have a mix of AM and PM shifts available.
  • The Cove: Located in Dudley Park. The Cove, one of our largest facilities which has 131 beds. The Cove caters for a range of different needs for clients, including those with advanced dementia and high care needs. We are currently seeking those available for Night and PM shifts available. 

Interested in working with more than one site?  We can assist with shifts between our facilities, please make us aware of your preferences. 

To be successful, you will possess the following attributes:

  • Be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Deliver a strong clinical care service
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead shifts with an empathetic and mentoring approach
  • Be able to prioritise their workload safely and efficiently with a focus on our clients
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old
  • First Aid Certificate (less than 3 years old)
  • A satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening check
  • Evidence of up-to-date influenza vaccination
