Coordinator - QLD and NT PHNs

Provide advisory, advocacy, executive and coordination support to the QLD and NT PHNs to operate effectively as a Network to progress their collective agenda and priorities.

  • Location - the role can be based out of any PHN in Queensland.
  • Part-time – the role is 0.6FTE (22.5 hours per week). Flexibility across 4-5 days is preferred. Hours to be negotiated with the successful candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities (for more details, see full Position Description)

  • Provide an effective and efficient secretariat and coordination function to enable effective QLD/NT PHN CEO meetings
  • Be the central point of contact for key stakeholders seeking to engage with QLD /NT PHNs
  • Coordinate responses to relevant issues which may impact on PHNs operations and strategic directions across QLD/NT
  • Undertake regular communication with CEOs, and act as a central point, to ensure collective priorities are progressed

About you (for full criteria see Position Description)

  • Related qualifications in a health-related field, or comparable professional experience
  • Proven excellence in developing and maintaining effective relationships with varied stakeholders at a senior level
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the primary health care sector and its interface with health systems at the jurisdictional and Commonwealth levels
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to consult, negotiate, advocate and liaise with a diverse range of people
  • Ability to work autonomously with a high level of organisation skills
