Following a restructure process, the Senior Social Planner is a new permanent role located within the dynamic and agile Community & Culture Team - focussed on strengthening relationships across the community and delivering tangible social and cultural outcomes.
In this role you will plan, develop and deliver Council’s ongoing program of social and cultural planning, strategy and policy projects based on comprehensive research, community engagement and internal collaboration processes.
Key accountabilities include:
The successful candidate must have tertiary qualifications in Social Science, Social Policy or Planning or a related discipline with contemporary experience in leading a diverse range of contemporary social and cultural planning and policy development projects.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in developing and implementing innovative and best practice social research methodologies and effective community engagement processes.
You will bring exceptional communication skills, including the ability to present with credibility, facilitate collaboration and prepare high quality reports and plans. The ability to manage multiple complex projects and competing priorities is essential for this role.
A Working with Children Check is also required for this role.
