About the organisation

Buttons Support Services provides support for people with disabilities in a thoughtful and meaningful way. Over the last 22 months, Buttons Support Services has developed into an exciting start-up and a business leading the new age of disability support. We provide support for approximately 150 participants, and are looking for more support workers to meet the increasing demands.

about the role

There are a range of disability support work roles available.

There is variety in;

  • Hours per week (anything from 2-25)
  • Level of experience required (some participants require more experienced care, and some do not)
  • Locations around Melbourne

skills and responsibilities

Based on the needs of the participants

  • Support workers may need to drive the participant to places
  • Help with organisational skills, provide emotional and social support
  • Help implement regular therapies of the participant.
  • Help with daily living tasks

Support workers need to be

  • Flexible
  • Reliable
  • Responsible
  • Organised
  • Enthusiastic
  • Inclusive

how to apply

People interested in becoming support workers but do not have experience, will be required to attend our Training Session which will be held on Monday 9th May @ 6:30pm on Zoom. Sign up for the training session by clicking the "Apply Now" button.

After this, we will be able to organise an interview and then organise support for you.

Documentation Required for support workers (once onboarded - this doesn't need to be organised now)

  • Valid Employee Working With Children's Check
  • National Police Check
  • Completed NDIS Orientation Module
  • COVID-19 Vaccinated (Third Dose)
  • ABN
  • Up-to-date comprehensive insurance packages
