An opportunity exists for an experienced, motivated person to lead our Family and Relationships Services Counselling Team in Sandhurst. We are seeking a self-motivated, innovative individual who has the ability to provide leadership, direction and support to all staff in the team. As one of our Team Leaders, you will supervise the Counselling team ensure our clients – couples, children and individuals - receive high quality culturally appropriate counselling services and monitor our performance against targets.
This is a rewarding role, requiring initiative, collaboration, creativity, resilience and hard work combined with genuine compassion. A key part of this role will be contributing to program development and expansion, whilst ensuring the continued smooth running of current operations. You must be capable of managing competing priorities whilst continuing to deliver a service. You will work closely with the Manager on reporting and other responsibilities. The role will include some direct client contact.
This is a great opportunity to step away from the intensity of frontline child and family services while retaining the professional satisfaction that comes from promoting healthily family relationships. The successful applicant will have qualifications in social work, psychology, or counselling, as well as considerable experience in leading a team and counselling. Experience and qualifications in family therapy and/or couple counselling is also desirable.
