With nearly a third of our revenue generated from our bequest program and memorial giving, making ours one of the most successful Bequest programs in the country, you will be joining a pivotal and impactful team.
Based in our Woolloomooloo office, reporting to the Bequest and In Memoriam Marketing Manager, in order to optimise long-term funding and support for Cancer Council, this role assists in the daily coordination of activities of the two programs.
With 70% of the role phone based, you will enjoy having genuine conversations and representing Cancer Council NSW in every conversation.
Key responsibilities will be to:
- Make welcome calls and follow up calls
- Support the creation and personalisation of bequest collateral and donor communications
- Support the development and assess innovative approaches to enhance the donor pipeline
- Arrange and attend face to face meetings with donors where appropriate with Relationship manager
- Build positive relationships with a portfolio of bequest donors
- Respond to adhoc queries
- Support Marketing Coordinator with key stakeholder event planning and execution as well as follow up thank you calls
- Volunteer management
- Reporting and analysis
- Administration

Whilst experience with bequest programs in a NFP environment will be looked on favourably, it’s essential you have:
- A professional and empathetic telephone manner with demonstrated strong telephone customer service skills
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Aware of basic marketing concepts and applying them to outbound communications
- Be able to balance data entry with telephony duties in a deadline driven environment
- Be a professional, willing, enthusiastic, reliable team member contributing to a positive working environment
- Be methodical in approaching assigned tasks but possess initiative and problem solving skills to resolve issues arising in areas of accountability
- Ability to build strong relationships with peers, managers, internal clients and customers
