Community Music Victoria Inc. (CMVic) is a not-for-profit, membership-based association, whose vision is to enhance health and wellbeing, strengthen communities, and build social connectedness through widespread participation in active music-making. Our mission is to facilitate the development of the skills, opportunities and networks necessary for participatory and accessible music-making to be available to all Victorians, whatever their skills or background.

CMVic has secured funding from the Helen Macpherson Smith Trust and other sources for a one-year project to start implementation of the Growing Community Music project in the Outer Western region of Melbourne. The work in this area has commenced with the first in-person Dream Big Youth Music Festival in 2022.
