About the role

Following the recent acquisition of Car Next Door by Uber, we have bold ambitions and growth plans for 2023 and beyond. To hit our goals, we’ll need to streamline our internal tools, processes and automations to deliver excellent customer service experiences at scale. As a Service Design Lead, you will develop effective practices for maintaining a high bar of quality, consistency and efficiency across our service touchpoint and build a small team of high performing service designers. 

What you’ll be doing day to day:

  • Hiring and coaching a small team of talented service designers
  • Creating journey maps, service blueprints and other artefacts to define the current and future state of services at Car Next Door
  • Collaborating with product managers and operational leaders to prioritise projects and requirements to deliver to KPIs
  • Collaborating with researchers and analysts to synthesise insights into action
  • Identifying opportunities for more efficient user outcomes through operationalisation or productisation
  • Collaborating with other functional leads to develop shared ways of working and best practices to improve service design outcomes

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to bring:

  • 5+ years of service design experience
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • Experience coaching and hiring brilliant service designers
  • Experience setting goals and driving initiatives to achieve them
  • Experience designing and delivering large-scale, complex service changes
  • Experience collaborating with a wide variety of functions
  • Experience digging into qualitative and quantitative data
