Our services and programs are free of charge for kids (0-15) and their families at every stage of the cancer experience.

About the Role

The Junior Graphic Designer is part of the Marketing and Communications team. Supporting our Creative Manager you will provide design and photographic work to meet our fundraising, brand awareness and program promotion objectives. Engaging design work is integral to all communication activities, so not only will your creativity be flexed, but your attention to detail will enable you to follow a clear brief. You will utilise your organisational and administrative skills assisting with marketing administrative tasks, such as curating and updating the photography filing system.

  • Enjoy designing on brand and engaging graphics
  • Edit and enhance brand photography
  • Collaborate with the wider organisation with your design expertise on various presentations or documents

Experience and Knowledge

  • At least one years' experience working within a team in a graphics role
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat
  • Experience in using Adobe Illustrator for illustration
  • Good graphic skills using Microsoft PowerPoint, & Word
  • Experience producing both print and digital outputs
  • Confidence with office admin, such as folder filing and photo naming.
  • Competency In digital platforms such as, Canva, FunRaisin, Asana, Figma, and Miro

Qualifications and Training

Preferred: Dip Arts Graphic Design OR Bachelor of Design (Graphics) or similar.

Other requirements for this role:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise, meet tight deadlines, and coordinate multiple tasks
  • Adaptable, with the ability to take on feedback
  • Open to learning new technology
  • Collaborative, with problem solving skills
  • Some out of hours work will be required for events or recreation programs
