We are currently looking for a Youth & Family Mentor to join our Indigenous, Youth and Family Team – Bega Valley Region.

ABOUT The role:

The purpose of this role is to deliver responsive and flexible prevention and early help and support services that meet the needs of children, young people, families and communities experiencing or at risk of vulnerability.

Actively participate as a member the Campbell Page Team and work collaboratively with community with the aim of achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients, funding partners and community stakeholders.

The role will:

  • Assist with the engagement of young people and families by working in partnership in the co-design of programs and services to meet their needs.
  • Deliver services to community within our Strengths, Trauma Informed and Client Centred Framework.
  • Develop case management and coaching plans with individual clients.
  • Participate in the development, preparation and implementation of crime prevention and early intervention strategies.

ABOUT YOU:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven cultural competency with Aboriginal Communities and individual clients & families
  • Knowledge of issues faced by Children, Young People and their Families in Bega Valley area.
  • Solid understanding of legislative standards (i.e. EEO, Privacy, Child Protection etc)
  • Human Services or related experience
  • Experience in case management within a trauma informed and strengths-based framework
  • Certificate III in Youth Work or similar Human Service discipline is desirable, but not essential
  • Working with Children’s Check (or ability to obtain)
  • Current Drivers Licence
