Who We Are Looking For

We are currently seeking a dynamic Clinician (Psychologist, Provisional Psychologist, Social Worker or AOD Counsellor) to join Caraniche's growing CARE@Epping team. The ideal candidate should have prior experience providing individual and/or group-based alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment/counselling.

About the Role

CARE@Epping has a team of clinicians who provide predominantly individual and some group AOD treatment to forensic and voluntary clients who reside in the North catchment of metro Melbourne, as outlined by the Department of Health.

This treatment includes individual counselling for both voluntary and mandated (forensic) clients with AOD issues, Comprehensive AOD Assessment and care co-ordination, as well as the potential to deliver the Kickstart and Choices group programs and Vic Roads Drink and Drug Driver group programs.

You will deliver treatment to a client population that includes males and females; a range of ethnic and religious groups; a range of forensic/offending histories and various dual diagnosis issues. Interventions provided may be short term, episodic, long-term, individual or group-based.

Further duties include report writing, referral to other services, case noting, office administration, and liaising with other professionals and services. Treatment services are provided in line with the Caraniche model of care, which includes regular individual and group supervision as well as continuing professional development opportunities.
