We are currently seeking dynamic, highly skilled clinicians (Psychologist, Provisional Psychologist, Social Worker or AOD Clinician) who are excited about being part of our prison forensic services team and playing an integral role in the delivery of Drug and Alcohol Treatment Services and rehabilitation of offenders at Hopkins Correctional Centre, Ararat.
As a clinician at Hopkins Correctional Centre, you will provide individual counselling, group therapy, orientation of new prisoners, as well as the delivery of AOD programs for male offenders.
You will deliver treatment to a client population that presents with a range of forensic/offending histories and clinical and mental health issues. Interventions provided may be short term, episodic, long-term, individual or group-based.
Further duties include report writing, referral to other services, case noting, office administration, and liaising with other professionals and services. Treatment services are provided in line with the Caraniche model of care, which includes regular individual and group supervision as well as continuing professional development opportunities.
This is a fixed term contract to 30 June 2023, with the possibility of extension. The role is based in Ararat and is a fantastic opportunity for clinicians looking to relocate to regional Victoria.
