About the role

These critical two roles form part of our busy Risk and Assurance - Procurement team. This is a great opportunity to ultimately deliver comprehensive procurement, category management and contracting expertise across our organisation.

Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, your day to day will consist of:

  • Developing and implementing category strategies, in addition to reviewing strategic outcomes and providing recommendations for improvement;
  • Managing end-to-end sourcing activities (including tender management), contracts and procurement processes;
  • Drafting and implementing contracts, in conjunction with overseeing plans for implementation of new supply arrangements with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Developing and maintaining supplier relationships;
  • Driving compliance to procurement policies and procedures;
  • Ability to think strategically, act collaboratively in the role with significant autonomy;
  • Balance and manage multiple initiatives ensuring that all are driven to completion;
  • Ensure financial targets in areas of responsibility are met and reported.

About you

Highly motivated and enthusiastic, with excellent people and communication skills, you are a clear expert within your field. You have experience in a similar role and possess:

  • A qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business or related discipline or relevant experience;
  • Minimum three years’ procurement, category management and contracting experience in a large multi-faceted organisation;
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS), is highly desirable.
