An exciting new opportunity has become available for a Sustainability Manager to join the team with the option to be based in our Sydney Sales and Marketing office or Head Office in Yenda.
The Sustainability Manager will support the evolution and implementation of CFB’s sustainability mission, delivering against the company’s CSR strategy. This role reports to the Commercial Manager.
In this role you will work with departments across the business including but not limited to; corporate communications, grower services, vineyard management, packaging, procurement, marketing and innovation to ensure all relevant programs and activities under the CSR framework are delivered successfully. You will be responsible for evaluating, implementing and improving sustainability programs, seek funding opportunities, providing information for internal and external stakeholder communications, mandatory reporting and budget management.
Working in collaboration with departments across the organisation to drive initiatives and embed sustainability into daily business operations.
Leading carbon foot printing and offset projects – overseeing data collection and consolidation, using measurement models to understanding CFB’s carbon impacts and what is required to offset emissions.
Identifying process improvement opportunities to drive sustainability best practice and carbon reduction.
Preparing regulatory and member reporting, including carbon footprint measurement and licencing, Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO), Sustainable Winegrowing Australia.
Preparing environmental section of the company’s annual CSR Report.
Developing and implementing internal procedures and policies relating to environmental initiatives.
Conducting reviews on the effectiveness and maintenance of environmental control measures across all sites; e.g. waste disposal/separation and measurement, employee training.
Researching and applying for relevant sustainability grants and awards.
Supporting domestic and export sales to complete information required for markets relating to sustainability and carbon reduction initiatives.
Supporting the Procurement team to embed social sustainability outcomes into procurement strategies and contracts monitor, track and assess supplier performance and against contract requirements.
Working with Communications team to ensure ongoing internal and external stakeholder engagement, to improve corporate and brand reputation.
Monitoring sustainability trends and competitors initiatives to support process improvement.
Developing and managing sustainability budget.
