Would you like to support Aboriginal people and communities to access information to support caring for elders within aged and disability services and to work on Housing and community garden projects?
Catalyst Foundation is looking for a person with strong connections and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, Elders and organisations to develop and expand the information and support services Catalyst Foundation provides.
The Aboriginal Project Officer will have the opportunity to complete an educational aboriginal edible community garden project in partnership with Aboriginal Elders, and support the development of culturally appropriate information with Aboriginal organisations and services to meet community needs.
The successful applicant will have knowledge of the health, well being, social and economic determinants for Aboriginal people, an understanding of some chronic disease/ health impacts on Aboriginal people, family dynamics and stolen generation awareness.
This role is based at the Catalyst Foundation, Currie St Adelaide and will involve travel within metro Adelaide.
Aged Care, Disability and a Current National Police Clearance is required and/or the successful applicant be willing to apply for clearances.
This position is a fixed term (0.5FTE) contract to 30 June 2022 but may be extended subject to funding.
