About the role

This role will provide support to the Executive Manager Quality, Safeguarding, Risk and Compliance (EM QSR&C) and the staff of CatholicCare. The Safeguarding and Quality Officer will assist in investigating allegations of abuse and neglect in line with the Children's Guardian Act 2019 and the responsibilities under the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. This is a Permanent Part-time position, 22.8 hours a week.

Duties

  • Provide Advice and Support on Safeguarding to CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay Staff
  • Undertake investigations into allegations of abuse and neglect
  • Assess incident reports for risk and determine if they have been appropriately escalated
  • Assist in building awareness and driving cultural change through providing input into the content, organisation and facilitation of Safeguarding and Child Protection training, coaching or workshops to staff
  • As well as other duties outlined in the Position Description

Skills & experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Experience in coaching others or delivering training
  • Working With Children Check Clearance
  • Valid NSW Drivers License
