Context

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Australia is an expanding charity with a strong vision and passionate workforce. CAP is building a movement of Christians that are committed to tackling both material and relational poverty. CAP has a vision that no one living in Australia will face financial distress alone, we believe in a future where hope, community and generosity abound so that all will flourish.

Jesus is at the core of all we do here at CAP. We exist to inspire and equip a movement of churches within Australia to walk alongside those in financial distress. CAP provides the training, tools, support and encouragement churches need to effectively walk alongside those in financial distress.

The Fundraising and Marketing team exists to build the financial capacity of CAP through the development of strategies aligned to our goals, initiatives and targets allowing us to attract, maintain and deepen partnerships and income streams.

Purpose

As Digital Marketing Manager, you will enable CAP to meaningfully connect with audiences through a variety of digital platforms. You will help foster connection between CAP and its partners by enhancing their sense of belonging. You will also help grow CAP’s reach and optimise the partnership journey.

You have an analytical mind that helps you interpret data, perform trend analysis, and create strategies accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

Digital strategy

  • Own CAP’s digital strategy. Develop and manage the strategy from creation and implementation through to continuous improvement, across digital platforms and channels.
  • Ensure CAP’s online presence sits within strategic objectives and embodies organisational values
  • Provide insights, analysis and reporting across all digital channels, to inform and improve current and future organisation and channel strategies including online analytics, SEO, CRM and email automation platforms (such as Ortto)
  • Data management as needed
  • Hold responsibility for and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and facilitate digital journeys, collaborating alongside other key internal stakeholders to increase conversion rates and nurture existing audiences
  • Oversee and implement new to database lead generation activities, donor nurturing activities, and fundraising activities across all digital channels
  • Manage and regularly update the distribution of engaging content across all platforms in collaboration with key internal stakeholders, especially the Communications and Content Manager
  • Plan, schedule and evaluate the performance of digital campaigns alongside key internal stakeholders

Website management

  • Ownership of the CAP website strategy, and ensure ongoing usability, security and stability of the platform
  • Manage and update content on the CAP website
  • Ensure consistency for new projects that fall within the overall web strategy

Social media management

  • Responsible for the CAP social media strategy
  • Manage and improve user experience, data collection and generate demand and engagement across all social channels
  • Coordinate with the Content and Communications Manager to ensure content is effectively created, published and measured

Measurable Outputs

  • Increased engagement across all digital channels including social media
  • Monthly reporting on Digital Marketing results, with appropriate action taken
  • Increase in quality and effectiveness CAP’s public-facing digital output, assessed through an annual digital review

Person Specification

  • Experience owning and delivering a website front-end management strategy
  • Experience of working well in a team context and demonstrating a collaborative attitude
  • Able to provide examples of pioneering innovative ideas which have been put into practice and driven growth
  • An understanding of core marketing and fundraising principles
  • Experience providing reporting to management, as well as suggested tactics or opportunities in response to the data
  • The ability to think strategically, keeping the major objectives in mind, and executing plans to reach targets
  • An entrepreneurial mindset that finds creative ways to solve problems
  • The ability to manage time, and tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong desire to learn new skills
  • The ability to interpret complex data and produce concise reporting
  • Able to work autonomously, while also being able to work collaboratively with team members on shared projects
  • Highly skilled communicator, both in written and verbal form Experience in a digital marketing role with demonstrated results, including increased audience size, N2D leads, and increased revenue
  • Proven experience designing and innovating research based digital strategy that drives growth, enlarges audience reach and helps foster community
