We have a permanent full-time opportunity for a qualified and experienced Projects Officer focusing on Growth and Development to join our Innovation Hub based at Civic Centre, Darwin, NT.
As a key member of the City Growth and Development Program Area, this position will be required to ensure satisfactory delivery of identified projects and initiatives for City Growth and Development.
The role will assist in leading and building upon city growth and development projects in accordance with legislative requirements, City of Darwin policy, processes, approved delegations, and values.
If successful you will be required to Manage the Street Food Program and associated events including booking of sites, assessing and preparing permits, delivering vendor workshops, managing invoices and brand development.
The successful applicant will be required to at times conduct community consultation, including responding to feedback and providing information on City Growth and Development and projects in conjunction with relevant parties.
This role would be suited to an experienced project officer with experience in events, media correspondence and has a high attention to detail and must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in managing and overseeing projects. Has completed a Diploma in Project Management or equivalent and can manage diverse relationships at various organisational levels.
It is highly important that the successful applicant has well developed written and verbal communication skills, as they will be required prepare routine correspondence, Council reports, documents, agendas and minutes and undertake research with great attention to detail as and when required.
