About the role

With the imminent opening of Parramatta Aquatic Centre, this unique role will require you to work with internal and external stakeholders in a community development framework to improve the level of connection, resourcefulness, trust, and skills in the community.

In this role, you will work closely with the Aquatics and Wellness team and community to address and overcome barriers to participation, with the aim of achieving improved health and well-being outcomes for the community. Stakeholder management and creating strong partnerships will be key to achieving this.

In this role you will:

  • Engage and consult with the relevant stakeholders to ensure programming and partnerships are designed to best deliver the required inclusion and community outcomes
  • Develop partnerships that serve programming and provide targeted access and inclusion opportunities
  • Development of a suite of community education and promotion opportunities and materials to help increase community knowledge of the benefits of health and well-being activities
  • Support the tailoring of an impact measurement framework for services and programs
  • Contribute to a culture of welcome, inclusion and utilisation within the facility, its team and its available spaces.

About You

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of programs responding to specific community needs or issues through a community development approach

In addition, you will have:

  • Ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously
  • Success in funding submissions for programs, projects, and activities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills with success in engaging community members and stakeholders to understand and agree on priorities
  • An ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders

Along with the following essential qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications (Cert IV or higher) in social sciences, health promotion, community development or related field
  • Current NSW Working with Children’s Check
  • Driver’s License

What’s on offer

We are offering an attractive salary package from $93,903.52 to $ $103,386.50 plus 10.5% superannuation.
