The City is seeking a Tree Management Coordinator to join our Tree Management Team.
The City’s Tree Management Team is a leader in urban forest management. We are guided by our Sustainable Sydney 2030-2050 Continuing the Vision, Greening Sydney and urban forest strategies to deliver ambitious goals to increase canopy cover and improve the urban forest.
The Tree Management Coordinator position manages a small team of professional staff, provide arboricultural and urban forestry recommendations on development related matters, and manage private tree applications.
Working as part of the Tree Management Team, your responsibilities will also include assisting with street and park tree works, driving quality client outcomes for capital works upgrades, and providing expert technical arboricultural advice to a range of stakeholders.

You will have an AQF Level 5 Diploma in Arboriculture, with extensive experience in assessing urban trees for tree health and hazard assessment, and demonstrated experience or comprehensive understanding of tree management for development construction and capital works.
Excellent communication skills are also required, as is a proven track record in meeting strict deadlines, balancing and responding flexibly to competing priorities and to work effectively as part of a team.
