Yarra Libraries is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the Collections and Reader Development Team and play an active role in the delivery of interesting and relevant library collections that inspire our community.
If you understand how lifelong learning and community engagement are strengthened by community-focussed collections, if you pay attention to the details, and if you believe libraries change lives, this could be the role for you.
To be successful in this role, you will be confident in using digital technologies and tools, have experience in short entry and copy cataloguing, be interested in improving workflows across the collection life cycle, be willing to provide support and training to colleagues in resource sharing activities, and enjoy working collaboratively to promote events and programs that support lifelong learning. This role has a front line customer service component, which requires excellent communication skills, demonstrated customer service experience and a commitment to a supportive team environment.
Yarra Council is a dynamic and progressive organisation. We pride ourselves on our inclusive culture and aim to make a positive impact in the lives of our staff and our community.
