Job Requirements:

• Australian citizen or has Right to Work in Australia
• Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support or above
• Cert III in Personal Care (must)
• Cert IV in Mental Health (Highly regarded)
• Must be LGBTQ Friendly
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• First Aid Certificate HLTAID011 or HLTAID012
• CPR Certificate HLTAID009
• P2 or Full Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred)
• Comprehensively insured car (preferred)

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Disability Support Worker
• Experience working in SIL house (must)
• Experience supporting young adults in the LGBTQ community (Highly regarded)
• Experience Complex Clients with behavioural issues
• Ability to learn new skills with the client

Other certifications:

• NDIS Orientation Certificate (https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au)
• COVID-19 Infection Control (https://www.health.gov.au/resources/apps-and-tools/covid-19-infection-control-training)
• Manual Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Medication Certificate (highly desirable)
• Basic Food Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Experience with Infection Control & Waste Management

Schedule:

• Ongoing shift, 24/7 support
• Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Sleepover
