ABOUT THE ROLE

The Cotton On Foundation is searching for a dynamic and innovative thinker to join the team as a Teacher Developer. As a maternity cover, the Teacher Developer will be implementing newly designed programs in Uganda and Thailand that will increase the confidence, wellbeing and capacity of teachers.

The Teacher Developer role supports our in-country colleagues to lead all classroom-based interventions including but not limited to classroom design and resources, literacy interventions, inquiry-based interventions, instructional coaching and social and emotional learning. If you are someone who is passionate about different teaching pedagogies and has experience in working in cross-cultural environments to implement teaching programs then we want to meet you!

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree / qualification in Education, Teaching or International Development
  • Proven experience of designing education programs with colleagues in Africa and/or Asia
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills
  • Amazing interpersonal skills, high level of integrity and good moral conduct

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

This candidate must be willing to work flexibly in order to meet the needs of colleagues in different time zones. If overseas travel restrictions are lifted, the candidate will be expected to travel overseas.
