The Employment Outcomes Branch of DEDJTR delivers the Victorian Government's Jobs Victoria program that addresses disadvantage through a range of initiatives designed to enhance the levels of economic inclusion for long-term jobseekers and communities. As the Employment Outcomes branch is growing, this is one of several new positions which have been created to enable the ongoing delivery of Jobs Victoria.

The position of Employment Program Officer forms a part of the Policy, Programs, Small Business and Employment Division within the Employment Investment and Trade Group.

The Employment, Investment and Trade Group delivers programs and services to grow the Victorian economy. Its focus is on creating jobs and raising incomes through industry development, targeted investment and increasing the export value of Victorian firms. 

Reporting to the Senior Program Manager the position will provide critical operational advice, information dissemination and administrative program support to contribute to the delivery of the Workers in Transition program. The position will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of information sessions to retrenched workers affected by industry transition across the state involving public presentations to large and diverse audiences. 

The position will prepare high quality submissions, reports, briefs and correspondence on a range of matters to senior management, the Minister and Executive and will collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders requiring the ability to build effective and professional relationships.

The successful candidate will have highly developed project management skills including the ability to prioritise and deliver multiple tasks to a high standard and contribute to continuous improvement. Strong experience or aptitude in delivering public presentations to diverse audiences and the ability to coordinate and manage activities independently or part of a team will be an advantage.

As the Employment Outcomes branch is growing, this is one of several new positions which have been created to enable the ongoing delivery of Jobs Victoria.
