Join a trusted team and fulfil your purpose by supporting ESTA to save lives and prevent harm through their emergency operations. ESTA provides a vital link between the Victorian community and provides Victoria's 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for police, fire, ambulance and VICSES.

This role involves processing all emergency and non-emergency calls including:

  • Answering Triple Zero calls.
  • Verifying the event location and accurately identifying it on a mapping system.
  • Accurately entering all relevant information received into the system
  • Processing updates and further information as the event or incident progresses.

  • You multi-task, type quickly and accurately, whilst talking at the same time.
  • Are confident with computer software, navigating multiple screens.
  • Adhere to established procedures, and complete tasks under time pressure.
  • You demonstrate logical and effective decision-making.
  • You communicate effectively by listening and adapting your communication style to the situation.
  • You are composed in pressure situations and demonstrate resilience.
