About the Role

The Supported Playgroup Facilitator will deliver smalltalk supported playgroups to meet the needs of the families with young children in Darebin. The role will build engagement with families, deliver fun and engaging playgroup sessions in a welcoming and inclusive environment as well as connecting families with individual parent coaching and/or other services.

• Facilitate supported playgroup sessions
• Deliver individual parent coaching with families
• Utilise smalltalk strategies to build confidence in parents and carers
• Connect families with community services and programs
• Practice culturally sensitive and inclusive practices to enhance engagement of families in programs and services

Skills and Experience

• Qualified Early Childhood Educator, Social Worker, Community Services Worker or Nurse (Parent/Infant Mental Health or a related discipline)
• Previous experience in early childhood settings and play-based learning
• Experience in group facilitation

An accreditation in smalltalk parenting program would be considered advantageous.
