• Carpenters wanted for Sustainable Building and draught sealing works

Are you a skilled carpenter with a passion for sustainability and a desire to learn new skills?

We are seeking those wanting to get involved at a grass roots level to reduce carbon emissions, improve the quality of housing stock and enhance the livelihood of home occupants.

Ecocraft is a Building firm with a focus on architectural renovations and small extensions. We love our feature timber work as much as we love to upgrade the thermal efficiency of a home and create beautiful, comfortable and efficient spaces.

We are a growing business who work with architects, home owners and councils and can offer on going contract work opportunities. We pride ourselves in quality workmanship and mutual respect of our staff, clients and stakeholders.

The following skills and competencies will be highly regarded:

• Carpentry skills; fame, lock up and finishes
• Measuring and cutting with millimetre accuracy
• Sound experience working with power and hand tools.
• Working at heights and in confined spaces
• Experience installing insulation will be bonus
• A positive can do attitude

This opportunity is currently open to sub-contractors and you must also hold or be willing to obtain:

• Carpentry qualifications
• White card (construction induction card)
• Public liability insurance
• ABN (Australian Business Number)
• Your own hand and power tools of the trade.
• Must be a permanent resident of Australia

Ongoing on the job paid training will be provided and work will commence on an as needs contract basis, with a view to regular work if desired. There is also room to progress within the organisation for the ambitious.
