Diabetes Victoria is the leading charity and peak consumer body working to support, empower and campaign for all Victorians affected by, or at risk of, diabetes.

Based in the Prevention and Health Promotion team, the Senior Project Coordinator is responsible for leading a comprehensive and holistic review and update of the Life! program content. The program content must be culturally inclusive and considerate of the needs of priority populations and additional program reform pieces that are currently underway.

Responsibilities of the role include reviewing the facilitator and participant workbooks and additional support resources to ensure that they are in line with the latest guidelines and best practice for both face to face and online program delivery to support behaviour change and improved health outcomes; as well as the revision of existing program content to align with the new Life! Online platform and health literacy principles.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position for a period of 12 months.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in project management in a deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • The ability to critically appraise literature.
  • The ability to apply the latest guidelines and consultation feedback into easy to understand and practical resources that align with the program reform directions.

Your strengths will be your skills in networking and relationship building; planning and organising; communication; initiative and teamwork.

A relevant tertiary qualification in health promotion, public health, health sciences, project management or communications are a requirement of this role, as well as a current police check.
