The role

As the Service Design Manager, you will be working in partnership with operational teams, National Clinical and Practice Leads and corporate service teams to design and redesign the models, systems and processes required to deliver safe, effective, person-centred, connected and sustainable services across your portfolio.

We are seeking two part-time (.8FTE or 4days) Service Design Managers to join the Service Design team, in managing either of the following portfolios:

  • Older Adults portfolio
  • Child & Family (including Child Safe expertise) portfolio.

Your role will involve planning and organising the people, resources, infrastructure systems and processes of services in order to ensure quality and meet customer expectations.

What you will be doing

As the Service Design Manager, you will be the National Practice Lead for the portfolio you hold, where you will:

  • bring your expertise in Older Adults or Child & Family sectors to design services and business models, and create processes that deliver required service and financial outcomes of contracts, engaging the confidence and credibility of customers, staff, funding bodies and partners,
  • demonstrate effective management skills through change management, project management, conflict resolution, training and guidance, and problem solving,
  • develop and sustain effective partnerships with operational areas and those involved in the design process,
  • provide national practice leadership and participate in committees and working groups to support clinical governance.

You will be working in a hybrid model.

Who you'll be working with

The Service Design team currently consists of several Service Design Managers holding portfolios across a range of different community health and social services, a Manager Mental Health and AOD Reform, a Lived and Living Experience Lead and Administration Officers.

These team members work independently within agreed Service Design systems, with operational areas related to their assigned portfolio.

Who we are looking for

Along with your passion for helping others, you will:

  • have an undergraduate and/or post graduate qualification in an area relevant to either the Older Adult or Child & Family Service Design portfolio area,
  • have credible experience and expertise across the Older Adult or Child & Family (including Child Safe expertise) sectors,
  • be purpose-driven and client-centred; bringing a strengths-based approach to EACH's people & services,
  • have experience in design, implementation, leadership and evaluation of new and innovative service models across the social and community health sector,
  • be able to utilise co-design methodologies to design services and business models, systems and processes,
  • be skilled at cultivating collaborative partnerships across all levels to drive change, influence outcomes and problem solve in a fast-paced environment,
  • Be a highly organised individual with exceptional written and oral communication skills.
