THE ROLE:

The Community Services Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing a diverse range of programs for the public, including regular social groups, activities, project work, educational workshops and therapeutic courses at the East Brisbane Community Centre Inc (EBCC).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Understanding of the issues confronting socially and financially disadvantaged individuals and communities, and a demonstrated capacity to engage with them.
2. Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver programs that will assist disadvantaged service users to engage more effectively with the centre and to access other services.
3. Demonstrated ability to organise and deliver successful community events.
4. Ability to promote and market EBCC initiatives via social media platforms.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

• Relevant qualification in arts and/or human services (or a related field).
• Demonstrated ability to undertake the administrative workload associated with the position, such as data collection and other evidence-based gathering activities relevant to reporting on program performance.
• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office applications.
• An understanding of the compliance framework of community services, including child protection, WHS, and anti-discrimination legislation.
• Current (or able to obtain) a Blue Card.

REMUNERATION:

SCHADS Level 3.1 – $67,263 per/annum (pro-rata)

Salary packaging benefits – up to $15,900 a year.
