About the project:

ELAA has begun a two-year project aiming to enhance the capacity, work readiness and retention of new early childhood educators in the early childhood education and care (ECEC) sector. The Skilling an Adaptable Early Childhood Workforce (SAEW) project will provide new early childhood educators with a series of specialised micro-credentials to support them to gain knowledge and apply their training into practice. This project aligns to ELAA's vision of excellence and equity in early childhood education and care as it aims to lift the quality and retention of the early childhood workforce by ensuring all educators can have access to a common level of understanding to build their practice and a network of support.

About the role:

The Project Support Officer is a newly created role to support the project through the provision of exceptional administration and operational support to the Project Delivery Manager, broader project team and liaise with project partners, stakeholders and participants.

Duties will include:

  • Supporting the project monitoring and reporting process through documentation, data and report compilation
  • Coordinating and contributing to preparing project updates, reports and other material
  • Engaging with and supporting project team members, partners, stakeholders and participants
  • Assisting in project planning and evaluation activities
  • Scheduling and coordination of project meetings across three stakeholder and partner groups
  • Updating and maintaining project documentation to support the Project Delivery Manager
  • Other administrative support duties that may be required from time-to-time to support ELAA

About You:

Key to your success in this role will be your experience in a similar role and it would be fantastic if your experience was within early childhood, community or not-for-profit sectors.

You will have:

  • Demonstrated high level experience developing, reviewing and implementing administrative systems that contribute to continuous improvement
  • The ability to prepare and communicate information clearly and professionally and with a passion for detail
  • High level computer literacy including use of Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Strong experience and enthusiasm for managing multiple tasks, competing priorities and in meeting project deadlines
