The Learning Development Officer will work under the direction of the ERCRS Team Leader in the delivery of the Debney Meadows Primary School Learning Support Program. The position will be responsible for developing a learning based educational program for the Debney Meadows Primary School Prep – Grade 6 Homework Club students.
The Learning Development Officer will have key responsibilities in the operational delivery of the program. The Learning Development Officer will be required to manage, develop, and deliver the program including the design of activities and lessons. It is expected that each activity and lesson will have a proposed learning outcome for the tasks to increase engagement for both participants and families. In this program there is a specific focus on literacy, but there requires an incorporation of other learning areas such as numeracy, art, and STEM.
It will be the role of the Learning Development Officer to consult with the Victorian Curriculum, Debney Meadows Primary School teachers and the Program Coordinator to develop a variety of high-quality learning tools and activities that are engaging for students.
This position is part time (0.4, 15 hours per week) on a fixed term contract to 30 November 2023.
This role would suit someone who is experienced in designing and implementing learning activities appropriate to children’s developmental stages. You will be an organised self-manager who thrives on building relationships and having a positive impact on the community.
