About the role

This is an exciting new role at Eastern Health to lead and develop a team of AHLO's providing cultural support to Aboriginal clients across Eastern Health. This is an integral role acting as a cultural broker between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal staff and services.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent
• Sound Knowledge of Aboriginal culture and kinship networks
• Ability to maintain records for statistical data
• Flexibility to cover varying shifts including evenings and weekends, as the role develops
• A strong commitment to high quality care
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Punctual, reliable
• Previous leadership experience would be of an advantage

Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. This offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
