It's both a diverse and rewarding way to continue your career! As a pool nurse you will provide coverage for different vacancies across Peter James, Wantirna Health and Residential Aged Care Facilities. The wards are diverse and include Rehabilitation, Geriatric Medicine (GEM), Palliative Care, Transitional Care and Residential Aged Care.

Across your shifts you may be allocated shifts to cover roster vacancy, short term contracts (e.g. Long Service Leave) or unexpected leave (e.g. Sick Leave) on clinical units. The teams on the units are welcoming and are appreciative of your support. You will quickly develop relationships and become one of the team.

You will be provided with a rotating roster according to your contracted hours with the ability to request days off like all permanent staff.

About you

To be successful in this role you should possess:

  • A Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse who has current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Agency (AHPRA)
  • Have recent experience in Rehabilitation, Gerontology, Palliative Care or Residential Aged Care
  • An ability to work a 24/7 roster, flexibility is a must
  • A flexible attitude with the ability to adapt to different environments and work practices
  • A strong commitment to high quality care safe patient care
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A passion for lifelong learning
  • A drivers licence and vehicle
