We’re extending our reach to create an Epilepsy Smart Australia and have a number of new Seizure and Epilepsy Support Adviser positions available. The Epilepsy Foundation is accepting applications from suitably qualified people located in NSW or Victoria.

You enjoy working as part of a team and are experienced in the provision of support that has a person centred, strengths-based approach. You want to ensure the wellbeing of those with a diagnosis of epilepsy along with their carers and family members. You believe in empowering clients in self-management and are passionate about ensuring great outcomes for people with Epilepsy and those that support them by providing practical and emotional support. The positions are offered on a full-time basis however 0.8 or 0.9 EFT will be considered. Reporting to the Practice Leader this role offers challenge, opportunity and the chance to work with a dedicated, talented and supportive team. Well-developed knowledge of epilepsy is not required but a strong willingness to learn is essential. The successful applicant/s will receive appropriate supports and equipment to enable them to work from home.
You will be part of a dynamic team that provides professional, caring, empathetic support (mostly telephone-based). With the knowledge you bring with you; and the knowledge we will support you to learn about Epilepsy you will be able to support clients to meet their goals in understanding and managing their epilepsy.
You will be part of a team dedicated to providing excellent support to the community as a whole and those with Epilepsy. The Seizure and Epilepsy Support Adviser (SESA) Team will consist of the Practice Leader and other SESAs with whom you will be working closely, together with members of our Education & Training; and National Epilepsy Support Service (NESS) Teams. This is an NDIS risk-assessed role and safety checks apply.
