Summary of the Job
The role of Food Services Supervisor supports the Hospitality Manager in all activities in relation to the provisioning of food services for the Exodus Foundation.

Selection Criteria:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as Chef
- Essential to be a Trade Qualified Chef - Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (SIT30816).
- Highly desirable - Diploma of Hospitality.
- Front of House experience
- Back of House – kitchen operations.
- Meal production, menu engineering and kitchen operational efficiencies.
- Excellent customer service.
- Stock control of items.
- Managing large teams (300 shifts per week)
- First Aid Certification
- HACCP Knowledge
- Working with Children Check Number.
- National Police Certificate.
- Full Driver’s license (manual car).
The role includes:
Pre-service: Checking the inventory and ordering required ingredients. Preparing for service may include things like cleaning, cutting and marinating the food.
Service: Communicating with floor and other kitchen staff, cooking and serving food.
Post-service: Ensuring the work environment is spotless is essential.
Specifically, the Food Chef will be accountable for:
- Head chef duties two days per week or as required.
- Manage and supervise food services staff, contractors and volunteers.
- Assisting the Hospitality Manager in all areas of budget development and maintenance
- Responsible for the provision of breakfast, lunch and additional services as required.
- Reporting of maintenance issues and taking relevant action to prevent delay to expedite repairs.
- To undertake the role of (HM) in the absence of the Hospitality manager
- Prepare and organise food for functions and events.
