The Tops Conference Centre is a community of Fresh Hope Communities, a not-for-profit organisation. Our history, ethos and values extend from the Churches of Christ in NSW. We exist to care, connect, and adventure with individuals and communities across the sectors of residential aged care, retirement living, community housing, community works, camping and temporary accommodation. We have 900 staff and together we serve 1000+ residents and customers, and 60,000 venue visitors each year.

About the role

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to inspire a team through culturally aligned leadership and operational direction that ensures stability and profitable growth across the service, as well as ensuring that consistently excellent guest experiences and programs are delivered and that all activities align with our mission, values and ethos.

About the responsibilities

  • Contribute to the identification, planning and achievement of strategic and business goals
  • Provide leadership, direction and support to The Tops management, which results in the achievement of high standards of service quality
  • Ensure continued refinement and development of the Tops program offerings, in line with emerging opportunities and client feedback
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, third party service providers and/or partners
  • Ensure that high standards of communication with guests, employees, colleagues, service providers and other key stakeholders are established and maintained
  • Ensure the maintenance of accreditation for The Tops venue is achieved through the Christian Venues Association (CVA) accreditation program.
  • Ensure that all legislation, regulatory requirements and organisation policies and procedures in relation to workplace health and safety and child safety are adhered to.
  • Contribute and provide direction into the budget process for The Tops facility
  • Review and provide effective direction and input into the development and maintenance of buildings and all other service infrastructure.
  • Identify new and innovative outdoor education trends and create plans for review and implementation.

About you

We are interested in hearing from you if you have:

  • Experience in a senior management role with financial responsibility, in a hospitality, education or other service sector organisation, over a minimum period of five (5) years.
  • Applied knowledge of the regulatory requirements for Hospitality, Outdoor Education or Education sectors
  • An understanding of relevant legislation, compliance requirements, and government policies that impact on outdoor education and camping operations
  • Demonstrated previous experience in a similar position within a hospitality, educational or service industry
  • Graduate qualification(s) relevant to the area of community services, outdoor education or service management or equivalent employment experience.
