Who we are

Fitzroy Legal Service is dedicated to assisting the most marginalised members of the community with legal information, advice and representation, as well as championing law reform and conducting public interest litigation.

Fitzroy Legal Service provides legal services for communities who are disproportionately impacted by law and policy, and those who face systemic barriers to accessing justice due to poverty, race, discrimination and disability. We provide a statewide LGBTIQA+ legal service known as Q+Law and various multidisciplinary outreach programs reaching communities of colour, people experiencing homelessness and people who use drugs.   

Who you are

You are an experienced and collaborative leader who takes pride in enabling others to grow and achieve results – together and individually. You have successfully created a culture of learning and innovation in a range of group settings, where your role might have been as an educator, senior manager, people and culture manager or community organising manager.

You are courageous and empathetic in how you challenge people to build on their strengths and confront their weaknesses. And you are excited to support the staff team at FLS to work towards a fairer and more just Victorian community, one in which the legal and broader social system supports equity and justice.
