As demand grows and outreach expands globally, GIW is looking for a Senior Sustainability Engineer to join the team in Melbourne or on a remote basis. Working across multiple time zones and embracing a new working model, GIW offers unrivalled flexibility.

THE ROLE:

The Senior Sustainability Engineer will lead the project team in the development of innovative solutions, design strategy and business outreach. With excellent communication skills, the role requires management of client relationships and project workflows.

THE ESSENTIALS:

• Project management experience and an active interest in the built environment.
• A relevant degree in architectural or mechanical engineering, or related qualifications
• At least 4 years of ESD industry experience with current and sound knowledge of planning parameters, building codes and physics.
• Effective communicator with exemplary written and verbal skillset.
• Refined technical skills that include energy and daylight modelling, passive design, water sensitive urban design, sustainable servicing strategies and embodied carbon.

THE FAVOURABLES:

• Industry accreditation or experience with Green Star, Leed, Passivehaus, WELL Building Standard or Living Building Challenge.

• Software capability in project management systems and DesignBuilder or comparable programa with the ability to learn and master new applications.
