About The Role:

The Residential Support Worker – Stand Up Night Shift’s primary role is to provide best practice, non-judgmental, emotional and practical support and advocacy to the women, children and young people who are guests of the Inn during the night.

The role involves a number of tasks undertaken overnight including ensuring that all the guests are accounted for, responding to any guest requiring reassurance and support and being the initial primary person responsible if there is an emergency incident. The role may also involve discussing and accepting new referrals, undertaking ongoing risk assessments, liaising with external agencies, and ensuring that the women, children and young people are provided with a welcoming environment.

In addition to the guest-focused tasks and activities, this position has practical responsibilities such as bed making, occasional cooking, and general cleaning where required.

This position is offered initially primarily to cover night shifts and will be the sole ‘stand up staff member’ at the Inn overnight. A ‘sleep-over’ Residential Support Worker will also be on the premises.
