About the ROle (Treasurer)

About giveout

GiveOUT is an LGBTIQ+ led organisation focused on increasing philanthropic dollars to rainbow communities.

GiveOUT achieves this through sector capacity building to increase financial resilience, research and advocacy around LGBTIQ+ giving and a national giving day (GiveOUT Day).

GiveOUT’s flagship project is GiveOUT Day, a national day of giving to LGBTIQ+ communities in Australia. GiveOUT Day raises awareness of LGBTIQ+ issues and organisations, increases funding directly to organisations so they can increase their impact and supports organisations to expand their networks with tools and resources. GiveOUT Day has grown each year and in 2021, $300,000 was raised for 77 LGBTIQ+ organisations.

Over the past 5 years, GiveOUT has distributed over $1 million to over 100 LGBTIQ+ organisations.
